I am a conservation scientist working at the intersection of ecology, decision science, and quantitative modeling. My research addresses how to conserve biodiversity and other ecological benefits that we enjoy while ensuring sustainable and equitable development. Part of that effort focuses on how to design effective conservation strategies under uncertainty and limited resources. For instance, optimizing the timing and placement of conservation land acquisition, or improving decision-making for the hatchery supplementation program of an imperiled desert fish species.
Currently, am a part-time instructor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville teaching remote courses (Landscape Ecology & Conservation Decision-Making) from El Paso Texas.
Starting June 2026, I will be joining the Institute for Global Change Biology at the University of Michigan as a Global Change Biology Postdoctoral Fellow.
